A special visit for a very special girl
On Friday, October 22 the Detroit Tigers mascot, PAWS, made a special visit to a very special girl. With a Tigers gift pack in hand, PAWS made a surprise appearance at the home of Kathleen Edward in Trenton, Michigan.
Kathleen is a 7-year-old who is battling Huntington’s disease and was a recent victim of bullying. Kathleen was nothing but smiles as she was greeted after school.
AJ starts the school year off on the right paw by taking PAWS to school!
On October 1, PAWS attended first grade with six-year-old AJ Failer. AJ was the winner of the “Tigers.com Monthly Sweepstakes” for September. The visit from PAWS included Little Caesars Hot-N-Ready pizzas as well as PAWS lunchboxes for AJ and his classmates at Tenniswood Elementary School. AJ personally received a Magglio Ordoņez autographed baseball to commemorate the exciting event!
